The local Board of Health have taken the necessary steps under the Public Health Act, and notify in our columns that the Board is prepared to defray all expenses of food, nursing, and medical attendance to householders afflicted with scarlet fever or other infectious disease. The penalty for disobedience of any order of the Board is £50, to be recovered in a summary way, or by imprisonment not exceeding six motoths with or without Lard labor. This wilj apply to any person opening a school (eitlier Sunday or day) after receiving a notice from the Board, or in fact refusing to comply with the instructions or com. mands of any officer of the local Board. We publish this for public information.
