Henry Ferris, charged with the larceny as a bailee of a piano, has been committed for trial. He was arrested on the eve oj his departure for Newcastle.
Intercolonial "Weather Exchange.
Sydney, Tuesday evening.
A north«west gale was reported yesterday at Borda, south of Adelaide. It has now extended across the continent to Brisbane, and has changed to a southwest gale at Borda. The highest reading of the barometer, 30*4, is in interior, at Alice Springs and town; at Hobart, 29 4; in Sydney, it is 30; evidently an autumn disturbance. The gale is coming rapidly eastward.
