Tuesday,
A drunken larrikin was fined £50, or a month's imprisonment, for wantonly striking a Chinaman in Cathedral square on Saturday night. Another man, who deliberately smashed two plate glass windows in the Bank New Zealand at Lyttleton, doing damage to the extent of £10, received the same punishment.
