Wellington, This day. Very active steps are being taken towards forming a company in Wellington for the shipment of frozen meat to England. Pending the arrangements for a direct line of steamers Patrick Henderson &Co., of GlasgoW, signify their intention of sending vessels calling at Wellington. The Bell Coleman process is the one favoured by the promoters. The latter include many influential members of Parliament.
It is rumored that the advocates of the Bible reading in schools are taking active steps to have the question fully ventilated. A meeting of members of both Houses has been held, and was well attended, at which it was resolved to move the Government to take the sense of of the country on the question. Mr Menzies will take charge of the movement in the Couucil, and Mr Macandrew in the Lower" House. A determined attempt is evidently about to be made to revive the question of secular versi* denominational education.
