The manager reports for the week as follows;—" Nonpareil, No. 5 level: The reef is still without change, and no stuff has been crushed from the drive this week. Tunnel level: The crosscut towards Central Italy shaft is much tighter than it has been. North-west crosscut: In driving west, the branch of No. 3 reef is much split up. but shows colors of gold. Driving, here will now be suspended, and we shall start to break out a crushing from the most promising part driven through. The stopes on No. 3 reef, above 132 feet level, are showing a little improvement. 80 feet level: In south crosscut a winze js. being sunk on No. 2 leader, and occasionally small patches of specimen stone are obtained. On Monday next we shall start prospecting to pick up this leader at the 150 feet level. Morning Star: In driving east through the slide, the reef is 18 inches thick, and ' looks poor. The stuff from the stopes ;is also of poor qualityi'^RoßT. Comek."
