Melbourne, This day. The Victorian Reform Quoseion
Settled.
The Reform Bill framed on the basis of the proposal made by Mr Ramsay, and adopted by the conference of the joint committees yesterday, was passed through the Assembly last evening and forthwith transmitted to the Legislative Council where it was also carried through all stages without discussion.
Great satisfaction is expressed on all sides at the' compromise which had been affected between the two Houses.
Melbottbne, Thursday
At a meeting of the Conference of the joint Committees of the Council in the Assembly to-day, Mr Ramsay's proposal for a possible compromise on the reform question were agreed to, and a bill embodying the same was introduced in the Legislative Assembly to-night.
