Next day his employer with .hpuejred words, and the bribe of., a : ,^5 note, extracted from him the came of the man' who bad. induced him to sell the race. The jockey sard^it was a man named Carbuncle Boyle, whereupon the master took from .the'faithlgss?3ffe~the money given as a bribe, and ejected him summarily from his presence.—Moral: Those who can be bought must expect to be sold.
