DUNEDIN.
This day. The Fakeha at the time of the accident was bound from Kaipara to Dunedin with a cargo of balk timber, The owners are insured in the Victoria for £1000, half of which is covered by reinsurance in the National, who likewise are reinsured by one half. The Fakeha formerly belonged to Captain Peterson of Dunedin. Captain Boer was married and leaves a wife but no children. The first officer was unmarried. It is estimated that the loss over insurance will be £300.
