CHRISTCHURCH.
This day. A telegram from the police at Southbridge reports that the brig Pakeha, from Kaipara to Lyttelton, timber laden, ran ashore on the 90 mile beach and is a total wreck. Six out of the seven souls aboard were drowned, and the sole, survivor, Christian, was found on the beach insensible, and taken care of by a fisherman.
