Maetha.—The shareholders took out a parcel of stone from the upper workings, which is estimated to be worth 20ozs per ton, and intend sending a ton to. the Thames for treatment. A quarter of a ton will be sent to the Owharoa mill as soon as the road is repaired. The accident to the Waitekauri bridge will cause a further delay. An old West Coaster who saw the show, said that from it he ought to be able to make from £1 to £3 per day simply by panning it off. Jones' Claim.—The party have cut a leader in their low level, which gives good prospects. Young Colonial* —The heavy rain has caused portions of the drive to fall in, and the shareholders have started to clean it out.
Comstock.—l7o feet has been driven, and the shareholders expect to cut the lode in about a fortnight.
