This day. At a meeting of the committee of the Chamber of Commerce, a long report was read from Alexander Bart as to his recent risit to Sydney and Melbourne to enquire into the mode of meat freezing. . He concluded by saying that be was quite satisfied that.the export of frozen meat and other products would be a commercial success, The chairman made a . speeoh warmly favoring the scheme, and urging that regitable produce should hold a position in the prospectus. The proposal was to form." a company with £15,003 capital, but the meeting agreed to the larger sum of £20,000. The prospectus will be issued at once. It was stated at the meeting that the New Zealand Land Co., ihad contracted with the Albion Shipping Co., to send home 80,000 sheep by the new process.
