The following ia the latest from Otara, re the wreck of the Tararau:—" No more bodies being fouud. Three police remain atWaikawa. Gart m has besn identified as groom to Cotterill, of Inrercargill. It the inquest the rerdict was—' Found drownea.' The jury added a rider to the effect that a light should be placed on Wai pa pa Point, as three vessels had been wrecked there. It is not the slightest use for people coming here, as there is no aecomodation. Captain Garrard has a married sister in Christchurch, nd a brother in Nelson."
The official enquiry into the cause of the Tararua disaster will commence on Thurcday before Mr Simpson, B.M. A public meeting has been called to devise means for the relief of the sufferers. The Kekanui will call at Fortrose and Waikawa, on Saturday next to bring the bodies to Dunedin. The bodies not claimed by the friends will be interred at the Company's expense. The wreck will be sold on Friday,
