RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT
THIS DAY.
(Before H. Kenrick, Esq., R.M.) DBUNKENNESS.
Mary O'Brien, alias Edge worth, was charged with having been drunk and disorderly in Albert street, on Saturday. Defendant meekly pleaded guilty. Constable Law stated that defendant was rolling about the street, and behaviDg like a.lunatic. Sergt. O'Grady said she was a notorious offender in Auckland. His Worship dismissed her with a caution, it being her first offence on the Thames since 77. Henry Barstow\ was charged with t similiar offen«e. He pleaded guilty. Sergt. O'Grady stated that defendant was very disorderly in the bar of the Thames Hotel, and was ejected by the police. ■ Defendant said that he had been off the beer for three years, and it would be the last time. . INDECENCY. The same defendant pleaded guilty to a charge of exposing his person in Grey street. Charles Rolton deposed to seeing him expose his person in Grey street, in front ot three females. He was drunk at the ferae. Hi 3 Worship fined defendant 5s and costs for the first offence, and £5 and costs, or one month's imprisonment in default, for the second. Court adjourned.
