Colonel Trimble addressed the electors at Ingle wood, and spoke in favor of the present Government.: A vote of confidence was carried. Messrs Parris and Rennell, accompanied by Honi Panama, left by the Hawea for Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Hokitika. The object of their visit is in connection with the liberation of the Maori prisoners, which, it ia understood, will take place if Messrs Parris and Bennell report favourably to tbe Government as to the state of mind in which the prisoners are at present, and whether they will be likely to maintain good order if liberated.
