This day,
The steamer Napier returned to the heads with the Kaikora excursionists on Tuesday, but owing to the sea running on. at the bar, she was unable to get in, she is still outside, and a boat containing the mate and two of the crew attempted td make the shore, but the boat got capsized and the men had a narrow escape of being drowned.
