This day. A Maori Murders his Uncle.

News was brought into Picton yesterday evening that a murder had been committed at Waikara. The facts to hand showed that Rawerere Kepa quarrolled with his uncle Ropoama Pinepine. They had two successive fights, and in the last fight, Pine became insensible, and died on Sunday afternoon at four o'clock. The police immediately the spot, and arrested Rawerere al 2.30 this morning. He was found hid in a hay loft. He is very downcast. Jealousy is said to be the cause of the fight. An inquest is being held to day.
