A diplomatic correspondence continues between the French and Italian Governments on the Tunisian question, and it has transpired that the French Government has in its last communication disavowed any intention to annex Tunis, rmt firmly insists that French influence shall preponderate in the principality.

The Marquis de Kay's immigrants have been housed in the Agricultural Hall in the Domain, the buildings having been hired for the purpose.

The general election which is proceeding in this colony is so far favourable to the Government. Most of the Ministers have been re-elected.
