This day. Destructive Fire near Auckland—,£2o,ooo Damage. Messrs Ireland Brothers' Panmure tannery, the largest and most extensive in New Zealand, was totally destroyed by fire this morning. When the fire was discovered the flames had a firm bold of the buildings, and nothing could be done to save them or the goods stored in them. Nothing is known regarding the origin of the fire. '. Golden Crowa Disqualified for ever. The Auckland Jockey Club held a meeting today re the stiffening of Golden Crown in the Panmure Handicap. The Club, after hearing the evidence, decided to disqualify the horse, its owner, Byers, and his son, the jookey, from ruuning on any course under the Jockey Club liules forever.
