A regular chain of communication has for a long time past been established between the King Countiy and the East Coast. The fiiendly natives think Te Eooti preparing a place of residence at Wairoa, and regard the aspect of affairs as detrimental to the peace of the country, expressing astonishment at the Government's supineness in this matter.
