This day

Two boys in a boat capsized in the harbor, and had to swim two or three hundred yards to shore, but both Juanaged to reach land, though much erhausted. Peter Elack, seaman, was drowned off the barge Pukapuka. At the opening of the E.M. Court today, complimentary remarks were made re the retiring clerk, Mr Lodge, and his successor, Mr J. B. Stoney.
