Major Atkinson addressed bis constituents last niglit, aud received an unanimous vote of confidence. In answer to a question, he stated that Government did not contemplate raising another loan. He did not know how long Ministers would remain in office, but of course they could not say what their successors would do. He stated that ten per cent would not be taken off the civil servants this year, but all.salaries would he reduced to what was thought right.
