Heniy Anderson, the well-known journalist, threw himself off the wharf this molding, but was rescued with some difficulty in an exhaustod state and tr.ken to the hospitsl. He had been in depressed spmts for some time. The Grand Lodge Session of Oddfellows opened this morning, the following lodges being represented :—Pride of Newton, Auckkud; Pioneer and Leith, Dunedin ; Alfred, Oamaru; Mount Ida, Naseby; Unity, South Dunedin ; Ravensbourne, of Ravensbourne ; Southera Cross, WellifigAvon and Addington,' Christchurch; Pioneer, Southlrad, and Invercargill, of Invercargill.
