OLD GOLDEN CALF.

The manager's report to his directors is as follows:—The wageamen are still engaged driving on the reef, and although the slide has disturbed it somewhat, gold is carrying along with us. We obtained a pound or two of nice stone to-day in breaking down, but scarcely of sufficient importance to telegraph about. I am having air-boxes laid in the face, and we shall soon be in a position to commence stoping operations, and from the present appearances I hope soon to have a payable crushing.
