Auckland, Thursday. The Friendly Societies sports came off to-day. The following were the events : —Girls' Race—Ellen Richie, 1; Emily Roberts, 2. Three Mile Walking Match —Honson, 1; Fernandez, 2. Ladies' Race—Miss Amerson, 1; Miss Ritchie, 2. Long Jump—O'Connor, 1. Friendly Societies Members One Mile Race— Jones, 1; Underwood, 2. Three-legged Race —O'Hare and Finlay, 1; Richards and Whisker, 2. 300 Yards Race (all corners^ —-Roth, 1; Buller, 2. Baby Show —Finest boy under twelve months, Mrs Blakey; smallest baby over three months, Mrs Woods; finest girl under six months, Mrs Young.
