AUCKLAND

Friday. Messrs Moat, Dargaville, and E. Hobbs were elected members of the Education Board. James Forrest Bell, station master at Ohaupo, has been committed for trial on a charge of embezzlement. A meeting of the School Committees is being held to-night to consider the relations of the School Committees to the Education Board under the Act. A sou of the Hon. James Williamson received injuries through a fall from his horse. Owing to the disclosures at the Industrial Home of improper practices between the elder boys and girls, the committee are sending out to service all the boys over 12 years of age.
