OUR MINES.
MOANATAIARI
The weekly report of the minß manager to his directors is as follows :—-150 feet level: The stope in bottom of this level, on iNo. 9 reef, east of No. 2 winze, is low grade stuff. We have now commenced stoping west to prove whether the stuff is' of better quality. 80 feet level: 1 The new leader intersected in south.eross.-cuf;, mentioned in last week's report, is still giving encouraging prospects, 201b5,.0f picked stone having been obtained this week. The crosscut is now sufficiently advanced, and four men will be started to drive upon this leader, so as to open.it up for stoping. Point Russell: In cross-cut north at Creek level the country is much easier for driving, and is also of a goldbearing character. In a few days we shall start a cross-cut south, in order to prospect the country in Golden Age direction. There is nothing frech to report in other parts of the mine, and our general crushing is showing an improvement on last return. —Robeet Comer.
