yAGBANCY,
Goorge Turner was charged under the 11th section of the Vagrant Act, 1866, with having no visible or lawful means of subsistence.
Sergt.-Major . O'Grady said that prisoner was found iv an unoccupied house last night. He was entirely without means of support, was in a filthy condition, and if left at large would probably be found some morning dead in the street. He had been to Auckland, and his brother had endeavored to keep him, but he had only staped there one day. After evidence had been called,
The Bench ordered the prisoner to be imprisoned in Mount Eden for two months with hard labour. Court adjourned*
