T. Lawless, transfer of license of Empire Hotel, from C. F. Quint.— Granted. ' '
Mr Cuff appeared in support of the application for transfer of license; .of— McLean to Mrs Hogan for an hotel on Tararu road.—Granted.
.Notice was given by the Court that this license at next sitfciags would not be renewed unless at least.one sitting room and two bedrooms were erected, the roof raised, and the. house properly venti* lated. ■ ■;, - V . Mr Cuff 1 appeared in support of CT"* Butfervrorth's application for a license at Puriri. The Court held that the license could not be granted for the house, it not being in existence. Mr Cuff pointed out that a house was required on the main road; Say's public house being too far from the road. The Court .said if bayremoved his house before next licensing day, he would have the preference, if not an application by Butterworth would-be considered if the house was erected subject to the approval of Mr Taipari, Native Assessor, who had power to reto any license in that district being an outlying one.
