TE AROHA.
Te Aboha, This day, 2.30 a.m
A party of men started out on a prospecting tour this morning, and intend to go through the country between Te Aroha and Owharoa, paying particular attention to the Rotokohu Gorge.
A great deal of inconvenience is caused through the irregularity of the mails. The local Postmaster received orders from Auckland and Thames which clashed. On Tuesday a mail was announced to leave here via Hamilton, but the mail contractor refused to take it, having been instructed from Auckland to carry mails on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The Miner states that some Te Aroha and Waitoa gentlemen are willing to build a bridge acrose the Waihou if Gro-
vernment will give them the tolls for two
years
The raupo whare, recently occupied by Procoffy, was burnt down last evening. A quarter share in the Don claim was disposed of last night for £25.
