A crushing of five cwt brought here from Kaikoura, Marlborough, by Mr Beetly gave over one ounce amalgam. The lode is about five feet wide, and will likely average one ounce per ton.
Black and party were burned out on Tokatea. They lost everything, money included.
In the G-reat Northern, Williams and party cut the leader on Saturday with a first-class show of gold. The mine is close to the Nil battery. . ;
