The cricket match, Canterbury Fifteen v. Australians, was commenced atone this afternoon. Christchurch won the toss and went in. The first innings closed for 90, the highest scores being Secretan 30, not out; Leich, 18; Frith, 16. The Australians have lost three wickets for 95 runs ; Murdoch, not out, 43% This day.
The cricket match is continued today, and thre weather is glorious, aad a large attendance. Four Australians are out for 124.
