PUBLIC SCHOOL.

Some weeks ago the Warden secured the site for a school facing Whitaker street, near Mr Lipsey's residence, the section comprising about two acres, and being admirably suited for the purpose intended. Mr Adam Porter, who is always to the fore in matters, affecting education, brought under the notice of the Board of Education the necessity for a school here, and that body promised that, as soon as they received a list of twenty-five children of a school age, a school would be et.irted. We are glad to hear that this list is now being mede up, and will be despatched to the Board without delay, when no doubt they will lose no time in fulfilling their promise.
