Thames Naval Brigade.
The monthly inspection was held in the Hall last night by Major Murray. There was a capital attendance, there being 3 officers, 10 petty officers, 86 seamen, and 19 band—llß in all present. A most careful inspection of the arms and accoutrements was made, and afterwards the men were exercised in the usual Company drill. Major Murray, at the request of Captain Wildman, presented a number of prizes—to P. O. Thomas, the District Belt; to Seaman Cameron, the Darling, Cup and a handsome meersohaum pipe, presented by Mr Osborne ; to Seaman Davis, an album, presented to Mr C. McLiver; and to Seaman Floyd, a money prize. The inspecting officer complimented the Company on their appearance and proficiency.
