District Belt.
The firing for the District Belt took place on Saturday at the Parawai range and was won by P.O. J. Thomas, brother of the New Zealand Champion, with a splendid score of 74 out of a possible of 84. The weather was not favorable to good shooting, nevertheless the old stormirds were on the spot. It will be seen that the Naval Brigade are once more to the fore, carrying off no less than the four principal prizes of the competition.
