GREYMOUTH.

This day. A fatal Accident occurred this morning to Robert Mcllroy, a well-known storekeeper belonging to the Seventeen mile beach. The deceased was driving home cattle on the beach near Cobden point, when one of the bullocks escaped from the others, and in the endeavor to head it, the deceased attempted to cross a small lagoon, when he slipped off his horse and was drowned. His body was recovered in about half an hour, but he was quite dead. An inquest was held, when a verdict of accidental death was returned. The deceased was a native of Belfast, Ireland, «nd leaves a widow end six children.
