A leading Btope is being carried over the drive from the old 23rd of June winze in 'toward! the face, and it is from this stope the golden stone was obtained. At the tine the drive was put in a few pounds of stone were taken out, but not of raeh rood quality as that recently obtained, and the inference is that the sold will make better and stronger upwards. Along the back of the stope the leader has a very pro- ' mising. appearance. Above the level then is a good block of ground to work oat. The small hanging wall leader it also , looking well in the stopes above the 70ft lerel, and some very good specimen! we obtained from here oecasoually. The general staff from this level is also of good quality. At the 70ft level driving on tbii leader has again been resumed, bat no gold has been seen.
