OAMARU.

This day. The Cattle Show was a success, the weather was splendid, but the entries altogether were not so numerous as last year. The quality was good, and com* pensated for tbe falling off in numbers. The Ayrshire cattle and thoroughbred stock were not so numerous, but the sheep showed an increase, and in the latter class there was a keen competition. The cup for the thoroughbred was won by G. Dodson of Danedin, and the cup for Ayrshire cattle, by James Gemmell of Oamaru.
