The Legislative Assembly last night night passed a resolution appointment Mr King, who is at present the Queensland Commissioner at the Melbourne Exhibition, a member of the Royal Commission of inquiry into the purchase of steel rails in England, where he will procceed and act in conjunction with his colleague to be appointed by the Secretary of State for the Colonies.
In the libel action, Mr Gresly Lukin* editor of the Brisbane Courier versus the proprietors of the Australian, a local religious organ, a verdict has been returned for the plaintiff, with damages, £BCO. I
