PIGEONGRAMS.

(FBOM A COBBEBPONDENT.)

Te Aeoha, This day.

There ia nothing new or startling up here. Several. parties are out in the ranges prospecting, and the' general opinion of all is that the country is worth trying. In the Prospectors' claim a drive is being put in at a low level to cut the leader, but from the slow progress made it will take months to get the desired length.

The surveyors are here waiting for Hone, who is at the Thames, to point out the locality he wants marked out as a claim. Porter was here on Friday and Saturday, but beyond taking stock of what was going on, did nothing. He would not take upon himself to show the boundaries of the Prospectors' claim. Most people consider that Porter has a fair claim to an interest in the area to be

granted to the prospectors. On the High School Reserve it is reported good gold has been discovered.
