This day. The Executive yesterday considered further representations from the Bishop of Dunedin regarding Ah Lee's case,'and decided that no reason was shown to induce the mitigation of the sentence.

The Chief Justice stated yesterday that Madden, the Rarigitikei solicitor, whom it was recently moved to have struck off the rolls, had not taken out a certificate for the practice of law. If the society did not take the matter up he would direct the registrar to move for a rule to have Madden committed for contempt.
