NEW PLYMOUTH.
This day.
A man named W. Carpenter, belonging to the Alma, was drowned this morning at fire o'clock. It is supposed that he was walking from his vessel to the wharf, when the plank slipped and he fell between the' vessel and the wharf. The body has not yet been recovered.
