Having heard that Wilkinson has his eye on the May&al cabbage, I surmise that the latter supposition is a correct one, and W. W. hangs the Chairmanship before Carpenter's eyes like a bunch of carrots before a donkey. The little game is too transparent, and I trust Mr Carpenter will come out and join the Borough Council with the district he at present represents in the County Council, —I am, &c, Loyal Brooms,
