The matter came up at a former meeting, and. a sub-committee were to report upon the matter. The suggestion was approved of and the secretary was instructed to ascertain whether the mother would be willing to allow the child to go to the Asylum,,and whether the Hon. Mr Eolleston would allow it to be admitted. , ' '
The Master's report was received, which after giving details of the expenses for the past month, stated that Mr Hoskins, barber of Grahamstown, had kindly cut all the children's hair, and Mrs Manton had sent a number of fruit trees. The report was received. The tenders for supplies were then dealt with, Sherlock Bros, being accepted for- meat, and E. N. Smith's for groceries.
It was arranged that an outing should be given to the children on the occasion of the anniversary of the opening of the institution, to take place upon the 28th inst., and the meeting of subscribers on the same evening in the Academy of Music.
Messrs Gellion and Buttle were to be asked to audit the books. ;
