ENGINEERS AND RANGERS.
The very bad weather last night had very little effect upon the members of the Rifle Bangers and Engineers, who were ■warned for Battalion drill. A large number of men turned up, and a couple of hours drill was indulged in by the officers of the corps and LieutenantInstructor Grant. The following movements were executed :—Wheeling into line, breaking into column, close to quarter-column, wheeling to the left, counter march, deploy to the right, advance in fours from right of companies, marching to the front and rear, close to quarter column, right wheel, counter march, deploy to the left, retire by companies from right iu rear of left, line to the right on leading company, and a variety of echelon movements. It is proposed to hold another drill in 14 days' time, probably in Grahams town. All present were gratified with the manner the movements were executed.
