Not long since (says a Christchurch. exchange) a traveller took up his quarters for the night in a wagon belonging to Messrs Murray and Eorbea, carriers, of Amberley, and afterwards told Mr Forbes that ho had been robbed of upwards of £5. Mr Forbes thought no more of the matter until two days ago, when he was surprised at receiving a letter contain ing money, with the request that he weuld remit " fco the man who had been robbed in his wagon."
