, The New Zealand Prudential Assurance Society held a special meeting last night. The meeting adopted a resolution for a levy ot fifty per cent, upon the present rate of contributions extending orer six months in ordar to liquidate outstanding claims. The meeting was very lively, and some of the shareholders advocated prosecuing MacKune. In the course of discussion, it transpired that the old cash books, before the society was resusitated, were stolen. Several members expressed regret at being connected with the society.
