Another body was taken out of the water this morning, but is not yet identiijod. This makes four within a fortnight.
A rumour hua just reached town that a disturbance lies broken out among the hare] labor gaug of prisoners working near Newtown, und that one or two were rather severely handled.
Mr Shaw, R.M., safe on the Bench for the last time to-day. At the close of the
Court, Gordon Allan, on behalf of the Bar, complimented Mr Shaw on the manner in
which he had performed his duties during his residence here. Mr Shaw, in response, eulogised the- officers of the Court, and spoke highly of the conduct of the police force of Wellington, and also thanked the Bar for the assistance rendered during his stay. Mr-Shuw is expected to return to New Plymouth to-morrow.
