This day. Henderson) the man selected by the townspeople to accompany Moss, the gold
prospector, to Fitzherbert) returned last night, and reports the reef as said to be discovered by Moss a hoax. Henderson, however, picked up in the gully large lumps of rich quartz, with gold plainly dißcernable all through them. The result of the trial discloses, although no definite reef has been discovered, there is no doubt of gold being., in the vioinity. Several parties left town to try their luck prospecting. Henderson said the features of the whole country warrant.the assertion that gold is all through the ranges.
