This day. Hauraki Pumping Association. At the Pumping Associaton meeting the proposals of contributions from the Thames Borough and County Councils were submitted by Messrs Brodie and Ehrienfried, as resolved at a previous meeting of the County Council; Finally on the motion of Mr Peacock,' it was resolved that seats be reserved for the County and Borough representatives, and that those bodies should be asked to contribute at once towards pumping. Thomas Macffarlane, trustee in bank* ruptcy, was nonsuited in the District Court in a claim against McGee to recover £1000, value of Akeake, filly, which he alleged was the property of Brcnhan's bankrupt estate. . ' Mr Murdoch, general manager of the Bonk of New Zealand, returned from \ Fiji yesterday. Among the New Zealand passengers by the Sorata was E. C. Meysey Thompson. The Wellington Football team left iv the Hawea yesterday. They were driven to Onehunga in two drags, aud accompanied by the Auckiund players. The parting was cordial.
