VOLUNTEERING.
(To the Editor of the Broiling Star.)
Sib, —Seeing that the Auckland Volunteers are straining every nerve to render themselves proficient in battalion drill for th« 9th November; it appears a pity that the several corps of this district should allow any petty jealousies to stand in the way—in the matter of practising combined drill. Why are the proposed drills in the Naval Hall abandoned; and why have the Scottish Battalion ceased to drill together ?—I am, &c,
Chevron.
